OYSTER CARDS!

Post  heavensangel on Fri Nov 07, 2008 7:20 pm

ok when I was introduced to the oyster cards to travel around london i liked the idea of pay as you go but had my reservations-after reading up about them i was surprised at THE CLAIM, how they are designed to charge the cheapest fare!?I'm not sure how that works and am not totally convinced with the claim-if you spend more money over a year travelling by your oyster card than if you travelled using a one year travel card-would you be refunded the difference?i think not! Also when you go to a machine on any underground station to top up there are a variety of icon options, for instance travel cards, zones 1-3, zones 4,5 etc which is more confusing. I just top up at a grocers store or the underground's main desk. One advantage is however, that you can use the card for other people travelling with you! It is sad to hear though-that the oyster card is going to be abandonned in 2011 to be replaced by a new system that uses mobile phones! That is a shame!

FREAKINGWALLOFTEXT!!!!!
Please structure the post better. A few paragraphs wouldn't hurt anyone.

Im going to reiterate what the mod said by saying that you should structure your posts better heavensangel. Paragraphing is a wonderfull tool! That wall of text does look daunting to read.
