Namco Bandai - Xenosaga

Why the hell did Namco Bandai only release Xenosaga Vol 2 in the UK? They didn't release either Vol 1 or Vol 3, so why Vol 2? Did they think people would buy it because of it's box art? Or did they think us brits are retarded and will just buy it for the sake of it?
They're bloody retarded, and it's a series I wanted to pick up too...
Also, when the hell are they going to release .hack//G.U over here? It's been available stateside since October 2006! Probably won't be released over here, or will they only release Vol 2 of that series too?

I've heard that it's quite good, but I haven't really got much of an idea of what it's really about. I'm more into .hack//g.u, and that's still not released here
